How are the Library’s collections arranged?
Answer
Parkland Library uses the Library of Congress classification (LC) call number system to organize our books and media. LC call numbers use a combination of letters and numbers to designate specific subject areas.
Everything labeled "Main Stacks" is on the upper floor of the library. That is the majority of our books.
We also have a small, browsable Reading Lounge collection on the main floor. New books, bestsellers, and paperback fiction are located in this area.
All magazines and journals are on the main floor as well.
If you're looking for fiction, this guide may help.
